Four Super-Unique Milkshake Recipes Your Customers Will Love

Posted on: 20 December 2017

If you have a milkshake wand in your restaurant, then you need to make the most of it! Customers love milkshakes, and if you offer something other than the typical chocolate and vanilla, they will flock for miles to try your unique creations. Here are four truly unique milkshake recipes to experiment with and add to your menu.

"Hot" Chocolate Milkshake

You've probably heard of mole sauce, the spicy chocolate sauce that's popular in Mexico. This milkshake recipe uses the same combination of spice and chocolate for a hot and cold taste sensation! For one milkshake, scoop the following into a large glass:

  • 1 1/2 cups (2 large scoops) of chocolate ice cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Blend the mixture until smooth, using your milkshake wand. Top the milkshake with a generous mound of whipped cream, and finish it off with another sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

Mint and Lime Shake

Mint and lime are a unique combination. The mint opens up your taste buds, allowing you to taste the tart lime more potently. This milkshake is also green, which makes it really fun to serve. Add the following to your glass:

  • 1 cup (2 large scoops) vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup (1 scoop) lime sorbet
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon mint extract
  • 1 drop green food coloring
  • 1 cup milk

Blend these ingredients until smooth, using your milkshake wand. Garnish the shake with a sprig or mint and a slice of fresh lime.

Four-Berry Milkshake

Take the strawberry milkshake to the next level with this four-berry creation, made with real berries and topped with even more. Add these ingredients to your glass:

  • 1 cup (2 large scoops) vanilla ice cream
  • 1/2 cup (1 scoop) strawberry ice cream
  • 1/4 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1/4 cup fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup milk

Blend the ingredients above until there are no more ice cream chunks. Do not worry if the berries do not all blend completely! Add an additional handful of blueberries to the top of the shake, and serve.

Peanut Butter and Jelly Milkshake

This one tastes like a PB and J all blended up into a cup! Put these ingredients in a cup:

  • 1 1/2 cups (3 large scoops) strawberry ice cream
  • 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons strawberry jam
  • 1 cup milk

Blend until smooth, and then top the shake with a drizzle of melted peanut butter and some whipped cream.
